These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of AfroTrader Academy (“the Platform”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), including all courses, content, tools, community features, and services made available through afrotrader.net.
By accessing or using the Platform in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must cease using the Platform immediately.
These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, students, and subscribers of AfroTrader Academy, regardless of how they access the Platform.
Please read these Terms carefully before using AfroTrader Academy.
Your continued use of the Platform constitutes your ongoing acceptance of these Terms. We recommend saving or printing a copy for your records.
1. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms, the following definitions apply:
- “Platform” refers to AfroTrader Academy, including the website at afrotrader.net, all associated pages, courses, tools, and community features.
- “User” / “You” refers to any individual who accesses, registers on, or uses the Platform in any capacity.
- “Content” refers to all educational materials, videos, written articles, charts, tools, community posts, and any other material published on the Platform.
- “Courses” refers to paid and free structured educational programmes offered by AfroTrader Academy.
- “Subscription” refers to a recurring payment plan granting ongoing access to premium Platform features.
- “Account” refers to a registered user profile created on the Platform.
2. Educational Purpose and No Financial Advice
AfroTrader Academy is a trading education platform. All content published on the Platform, including but not limited to courses, blog posts, written materials, video lessons, charts, trade examples, community discussions, webinars, and live sessions, is provided exclusively for educational and informational purposes.
Nothing on this Platform constitutes, or should be interpreted as:
- Financial, investment, or trading advice of any kind
- A recommendation or instruction to buy or sell any financial instrument
- A trading signal, alert, or managed trading service
- Brokerage, portfolio management, or financial advisory services
- A guarantee of profit, financial return, or trading performance
AfroTrader Academy does not hold any financial services licence or regulatory authorisation to provide investment advice in any jurisdiction. You are solely and entirely responsible for all trading and investment decisions you make. If you require personalised financial guidance, please consult a qualified and regulated financial advisor.
3. No Guarantees of Results
Trading financial markets, including Forex, Cryptocurrency Futures, and Synthetic Indices, involves substantial risk. AfroTrader Academy makes no representations, warranties, or guarantees of any kind regarding:
- Trading profitability or financial performance following completion of any course
- The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any educational content
- The suitability of any strategy or framework for your personal financial situation
- The future performance of any market, instrument, or trading approach discussed on the Platform
Any trade examples, case studies, backtested results, or hypothetical scenarios presented on the Platform are for educational illustration only. Past performance, whether real or simulated, does not guarantee or predict future results.
4. User Eligibility
By registering for or using AfroTrader Academy, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years of age, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher
- You have the full legal capacity and authority to enter into and be bound by these Terms
- Your use of the Platform complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and financial trading rules in your country or jurisdiction
- You are not prohibited from accessing financial education content or trading-related services under any applicable law
- All information you provide during registration and use of the Platform is accurate, current, and complete
AfroTrader Academy reserves the right to refuse registration or terminate access for any user who does not meet these eligibility requirements or who provides false or misleading information.
5. User Accounts and Security
5.1 Account Registration
To access premium courses and certain Platform features, you are required to create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your account details up to date at all times.
5.2 Account Security
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login credentials, including your username and password. You must not share your account access with any other person.
You agree to notify AfroTrader Academy immediately at traders@afrotrader.net if you become aware of any unauthorised access to or use of your account. AfroTrader Academy shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain the security of your account.
5.3 Account Sharing and Reselling
Account sharing, reselling, or transferring access to any other individual or entity is strictly prohibited. Each account is for the sole personal use of the registered individual. Violation of this policy will result in immediate account suspension or permanent termination without refund.
5.4 Account Suspension and Termination
AfroTrader Academy reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate any account, without prior notice, where:
- A breach of these Terms has occurred or is suspected
- Fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity is identified
- Payment obligations are not fulfilled
- Account sharing or reselling is detected
- A user is found to be below the minimum age requirement
6. Payments, Subscriptions, and Fees
6.1 Fees and Pricing
Access to premium courses, subscription plans, and certain Platform features requires payment. All fees, prices, and subscription rates are clearly displayed prior to purchase. AfroTrader Academy reserves the right to modify pricing at any time, with changes taking effect at the next billing cycle for existing subscribers.
6.2 Billing and Recurring Payments
Subscription plans are billed on a recurring basis, either monthly or annually, as selected at the time of purchase. By subscribing, you authorise AfroTrader Academy to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel your subscription.
It is your responsibility to ensure that your payment details are current and that sufficient funds are available for recurring charges. Failed payments may result in suspension of access to premium content.
6.3 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to premium content until the expiry of the paid period. Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund for any portion of the current billing cycle.
6.4 Refunds
All payments are subject to AfroTrader Academy’s Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review the full Refund Policy at afrotrader.net/refund-policy/ before making any purchase. In summary, due to the digital nature of the Platform’s content, all sales are generally final, subject to the limited exceptions described in the Refund Policy.
7. Intellectual Property Rights
All content published on AfroTrader Academy, including but not limited to video lessons, written course materials, blog articles, graphics, logos, tools, templates, frameworks, and all other educational resources, is the exclusive intellectual property of AfroTrader Academy and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal licence to access and use the Platform’s content solely for your own private educational purposes. This licence does not permit you to:
- Copy, reproduce, download, or screen-record any course content for redistribution
- Share, resell, sublicense, or otherwise transfer any content to third parties
- Use any AfroTrader Academy content for commercial purposes without prior written authorisation
- Modify, create derivative works from, or misrepresent the origin of any Platform content
- Publish or publicly display any Platform content on other websites, platforms, or media channels
Unauthorised use of AfroTrader Academy’s intellectual property may result in account termination and may expose you to legal action. To request written permission for any use of our content beyond the personal licence granted above, please contact traders@afrotrader.net.
8. Community Rules and User Conduct
AfroTrader Academy provides access to community features, including discussion forums, comment sections, and group spaces. All users participating in community features are required to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully at all times.
8.1 Prohibited Conduct
The following conduct is strictly prohibited on the Platform and in all community spaces:
- Sharing trading signals, financial advice, or buy/sell recommendations
- Posting false, misleading, or unverified trading results or performance claims
- Spam, unsolicited promotions, or advertising of third-party products or services
- Harassment, intimidation, personal attacks, or abusive language directed at other users or staff
- Sharing or soliciting personal financial information from other users
- Posting content that is offensive, discriminatory, defamatory, or unlawful
- Attempting to recruit other users into external schemes, programmes, or communities
- Impersonating AfroTrader Academy staff, instructors, or other users
8.2 Content Moderation
AfroTrader Academy reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to review, edit, remove, or restrict any community content that violates these Terms or community standards, without prior notice. Repeated or severe violations may result in permanent account termination.
8.3 User-Generated Content
By submitting any content to the Platform’s community features, including comments, questions, or discussion posts, you grant AfroTrader Academy a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, display, and moderate that content as part of the Platform’s community environment. You confirm that any content you submit does not infringe the rights of any third party.
9. Third-Party Links and Services
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, broker platforms, tools, or services, including affiliated trading partners as stipulated in our Affiliate & Partnership Disclosure. These links are provided for educational convenience and reference only.
AfroTrader Academy does not control, operate, endorse, or assume responsibility for any third-party website, platform, or service, including its content, terms, privacy practices, security, or reliability. Accessing third-party sites or services is done entirely at your own risk.
Your interactions with third-party platforms, including account registration, deposits, and trading activity, are governed by those platforms’ own terms and conditions. AfroTrader Academy is not party to and bears no responsibility for any agreements or transactions between you and any third party.
10. Platform Availability and Modifications
AfroTrader Academy endeavours to maintain consistent and reliable access to the Platform; however, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. The Platform may experience downtime due to scheduled maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
AfroTrader Academy reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice, to:
- Modify, update, or remove any part of the Platform, including course content, tools, or features
- Temporarily suspend access to the Platform for maintenance or technical purposes
- Permanently discontinue the Platform or any of its features
- Revise pricing, subscription terms, or access conditions with reasonable notice
AfroTrader Academy shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Platform or its content.
11. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to AfroTrader Academy. The collection, storage, and use of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference and is available at afrotrader.net/privacy-policy/.
By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. You are encouraged to review the Privacy Policy carefully before registering an account or making a purchase.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AfroTrader Academy, its founders, directors, instructors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any losses, damages, or claims of any kind arising from or in connection with:
- Your use of or inability to access the Platform or its content
- Trading decisions made based on any content published on the Platform
- Financial losses incurred through trading activity following the use of any course, tool, or resource on the Platform
- Technical failures, system errors, internet disruptions, or data loss affecting Platform access
- Third-party platforms, brokers, or services referenced or linked from the Platform
- Unauthorised access to your account resulting from your failure to maintain account security
In jurisdictions where the exclusion of certain liabilities is not permitted by law, AfroTrader Academy’s liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable legislation.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AfroTrader Academy, its founders, instructors, employees, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or in connection with:
- Your breach of any provision of these Terms
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Your use of the Platform or any content published on it
- Any content you submit or post on the Platform’s community features
- Your trading activities or financial decisions made in connection with the Platform
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform and all of its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. AfroTrader Academy expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:
- Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
- Warranties that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or harmful components
- Warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or timeliness of any content
- Warranties that the content will meet your individual trading or educational requirements
15. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
AfroTrader Academy uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience on the Platform, analyse usage patterns, and deliver relevant content. Your use of the Platform constitutes your consent to the use of cookies in accordance with our Cookie Policy, available at https://afrotrader.net/cookie-policy/.
You may manage or disable cookies through your browser settings; however, doing so may affect the functionality of certain features on the Platform.
16. Age Restriction and Minor Protection
AfroTrader Academy is strictly intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. The Platform discusses financial markets, leveraged trading instruments, and risk-related concepts that are not appropriate for minors.
By using the Platform, you confirm that you meet the minimum age requirement. If AfroTrader Academy discovers that a registered user is under the age of 18, the account will be terminated immediately and any associated payments will be handled in accordance with our Refund Policy.
17. Force Majeure
AfroTrader Academy shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Acts of God, natural disasters, or extreme weather events
- Government actions, regulations, or legislative changes
- Internet or telecommunications infrastructure failures
- Cyberattacks, hacking, or data breaches affecting Platform infrastructure
- Global health emergencies, pandemics, or public health crises
18. Amendments to These Terms
AfroTrader Academy reserves the right to amend, update, or replace these Terms at any time. Where changes are material, we will endeavour to provide reasonable notice by publishing the updated Terms on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date and, where appropriate, by notifying registered users via email.
Your continued use of the Platform following any amendment to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated version. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. If you do not agree with any amendment, you must discontinue use of the Platform.

Significant changes to these Terms will be communicated to registered users via the email address associated with your account.
19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed from the remaining Terms, which shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be replaced with a valid provision that most closely reflects the original intent of the severed clause.
20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Risk Disclosure Statement, Disclaimer, Cookie Policy, and Affiliate and Partnership Disclosure published on the Platform, constitute the entire agreement between you and AfroTrader Academy with respect to your use of the Platform and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings of any kind.
21. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uganda, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
In the event of any dispute, claim, or disagreement arising from or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter amicably through direct communication. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally within 30 days may be referred to the appropriate legal jurisdiction.
