Refund Policy


This Refund Policy governs all purchases and subscription payments made through AfroTrader Academy (“the Platform”). By completing a purchase on this Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this policy.

AfroTrader Academy is committed to delivering high-quality educational content and we stand behind the value of our products. At the same time, due to the nature of digital educational content, certain limitations on refunds apply as described below.

1. Nature of Our Products

All products and services offered by AfroTrader Academy are digital educational products, including:

  • Online trading courses (Forex, Crypto Futures, Synthetic Indices)
  • Premium membership access and community features
  • Monthly and annual subscription plans
  • Supplementary educational materials, tools, and resources

Because digital content is delivered and accessible immediately upon payment confirmation, and because access to this content cannot be “returned” in the traditional sense, all sales are generally considered final. Exceptions are outlined in the sections below.


2. One-Time Course Purchases

For premium courses purchased as a one-time payment, AfroTrader Academy offers a limited refund window under the following conditions:

  • Refund Window: Refund requests must be submitted within 7 calendar days of the original purchase date.
  • Eligibility Condition: To qualify, the course content must not have been substantially accessed. Courses where more than 20% of the content has been viewed or downloaded are not eligible for a refund.
  • Submission Requirement: The request must be submitted in writing to traders@afrotrader.net with your full name, registered email address, order reference number, and a brief reason for the request.

Approved refunds for one-time purchases will be processed within 7 to 10 business days to the original payment method.


3. Subscription Plans

Monthly Subscriptions

  • Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting us directly.
  • Cancellation will prevent future billing but does not entitle you to a refund for the current active billing period. Access will continue until the end of the paid period.
  • Monthly subscription fees are non-refundable once the billing cycle has commenced.

Annual Subscriptions

  • Annual subscription fees are billed in full at the start of each subscription year.
  • If you cancel an annual subscription within 14 days of your renewal date and have not substantially accessed new content during that period, you may request a pro-rata refund for the unused months remaining.
  • Refund requests outside the 14-day renewal window will not be considered.
  • The first annual subscription (initial purchase) is subject to the standard 7-day refund window described in Section 2 above.


4. Free Courses and Free Content

Free courses and free educational content available on AfroTrader Academy involve no payment and are therefore not subject to any refund consideration. Access to free content may be modified, restricted, or removed at AfroTrader Academy’s discretion without prior notice.


5. Exceptional Circumstances – Eligible for Full Refund

Notwithstanding the general no-refund policy for digital products, AfroTrader Academy will issue a full refund in the following verified circumstances:

  • Duplicate Charges: Where a technical error has resulted in the same order being charged more than once.
  • Payment Processing Errors: Where a charge was processed in error and no access to content was granted.
  • Platform Inaccessibility: Where AfroTrader Academy is unable to deliver access to purchased content due to a prolonged technical fault on our end lasting more than 7 consecutive days, and no reasonable alternative access was provided.

All exceptional refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the incident and will be reviewed and verified before a decision is made. Supporting evidence (e.g. screenshots, payment receipts) may be requested.


6. Non-Refundable Circumstances

Refunds will not be issued under the following circumstances:

  • Change of mind after accessing course content
  • Failure to complete or engage with course materials
  • Dissatisfaction with trading results following the application of concepts taught
  • Requests submitted outside the applicable refund window
  • Violation of AfroTrader Academy’s Terms & Conditions leading to account suspension or termination
  • Purchases made during promotional, discounted, or sale periods (unless otherwise stated at the point of sale)
  • Requests citing inability to trade profitably as all trading involves risk and profitability is not guaranteed


7. How to Submit a Refund Request

To submit a refund request, please follow the steps below:

  1. Send an email to traders@afrotrader.net with the subject line: “Refund Request – [Your Full Name]”
  2. Include the following details in your email:
  3. Full name and registered email address
  4. Order or transaction reference number
  5. Date of purchase
  6. Name of the course or subscription plan
  7. Reason for the refund request
  8. Any relevant supporting documentation (e.g. payment receipt, screenshot of error)
  9. Our support team will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and provide a decision within 5 to 7 business days.
  10. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7 to 10 business days.

Important: Refund requests submitted outside the applicable time windows, or via channels other than the email address above, may not be processed.


8. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage all customers to contact AfroTrader Academy directly before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with their bank or payment provider. Most billing concerns can be resolved quickly and amicably through direct communication.

Initiating an unauthorized chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us may result in:

  • Immediate suspension or permanent termination of account access
  • Revocation of access to all purchased courses and materials
  • Referral to our payment processor for fraud investigation where applicable

Where a chargeback is found to be fraudulent or in violation of this policy, AfroTrader Academy reserves the right to pursue recovery of funds through all available legal and commercial channels.


9. Currency and Payment Processing

All transactions on AfroTrader Academy are processed in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise specified at checkout. Refunded amounts will be returned in the original transaction currency.

AfroTrader Academy is not responsible for any foreign exchange rate differences, currency conversion fees, or processing charges applied by your bank or payment provider during or after a refund transaction.


10. Policy Modifications

AfroTrader Academy reserves the right to amend, update, or replace this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will take effect immediately upon being published on this page. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this document will reflect the most recent revision.

Continued use of the Platform after any changes to this policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.


11. Governing Law

This Refund Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes arising under or in connection with this policy shall first be subject to good-faith resolution through direct communication between the parties.
